R&P Post 50: Creating Social Media Accounts for our Artist

Hey there and welcome back to another research and planning post! Today we created social media accounts for our artist, with Lesley creating a Twitter account and Sarah creating an Instagram account.

This is what our Twitter profile looks like:

This is what our Instagram account look like:

On these social media accounts, we have also followed other artists and other celebrities that our artist relates to and that our audience can connect with. Below you can see images of people that we are following on both the Twitter account and Instagram account:

From these images you can see how we have followed a range of people- including pop stars, actors and also commercial accounts, with shops such as Topshop and The Body Shop. This demonstrates how we have further connected with our audience through these social media profiles.

So that's what we got up today! We rally learnt the importance of marketing through this task and we feel that we have managed to successfully emphasise the marketing of our artist through these social media profiles. Not only have we posted things on these accounts that advertise our artist and their music as well as showing an element of personality by posting ore personal pictures and tweets, but we have also enhanced this connection with our audience by following other accounts that our audience themselves will most likely follow. This has involved following mainstream artists, actors and shops that represent our audiences' interests.

Come back again soon to here more about how our music video is coming along!
