R&P Post 29: Researching Locations for Performance Shots

Hiya! Welcome back! We have now begun to research potential locations for the performance shots of our music video. Here is what we have found so far:

Roof East:

Above you can see images of Roof East which is a rooftop bar, cinema club and urban park located in East London. For our performance shots we have been looking at a variety of rooftops that we could potentially use. We want to use a rooftop as one location for performance shots because it is an exciting and unique location to film which would grab our audience's attention more. This particular rooftop would be a very good choice because it has a great view of central London and is very spacious. However, we do not actually know if we would be able to film here but we are now in the progress of contacting them to ask about this.

Another rooftop location we are thinking of using is the National Theatre rooftop, otherwise known as 'The Deck':

This location would also be suitable for our music video as it also has a very good view of central London and is easy to access. We know this because we have researched into whether we would be able to film at this location and we have found that we would be able to film here, just when we arrive we have to sign a form that legally states that we would not be filming for any profits. So because it is easy to access this makes it a strong potential choice for us. 

As well as using a rooftop for performance shots, we are also going to use various places located along the Southbank. For example:

Parts of the Southbank like the ones in the pictures above would be good for our music video because they have different fairy lights in them which would give our music video a better aesthetic and give us more of a range of performance shots.

So now we have began to plan where we are going to film our performance shots, we are becoming more organised for when it comes to actual filming. Now we just need to confirm exactly what locations we are going to use for the entirety of our music video. Come back again soon to find out more!
