R&P Post 25: Starting our Storyboard

Hey there and welcome back to another update on our music video plans!

Today we had a group meeting where we all got together to discuss different types of shots that we thought would suit our music video. We listened to the song all together and went through it bit by bit and discussed our ideas for types of shots we should have for specific moments in the song. For example, we listened to the song and paused it when one of us had an idea for a specific shot type we could use for that particular moment of the song. During this we wrote don our confirmed ideas and made a 'Shot List' which includes the specific shot types we are going to have for specific moments in the song. Below you can see some pictures of this shot list:

Whilst creating a written shot list, we also had our storyboard in mind. Once we had finished writing our shot list which lies out our ideas for different shot types for specific times in the song, we made a start on our storyboard. We decided to create a written shot list because by having our ideas in writing, it clearly lies out our ideas for us as a group and by creating a storyboard we will be able to visually see what our written ideas will look like. Here are some images of what our storyboard looks like so far:

So overall today has been a rather successful day as we have managed to discuss our different ideas for specific shot types as a group and have consequently created a shot list. We have also made a start on our storyboard which is now in progress. From this we now know what types of shots we are going to need to have in mind when on set for our music video, and our storyboard will help us to visualise what these shots will need to look like.

Thanks for reading and come back again soon!
