R&P Post 20: Skype Interviews with our Applicants

Hello! In this post I will be updating you on the casting for our music video and talking about the Skype interviews that we did with our applicants. 

Unfortunately, it did not go to plan. Over the weekend we made a plan for exactly what times we would interview our applicants and made a plan for each interview to be 15 minutes long and to have 5 minutes in between each interview so that we would have time to spare if any of the interviews ran over. These are the different times we planned to interview people:

We contacted our applicants two days before to let them know when we would interview them. Unfortunately Emmy Cam was unable to make the interview but we are have now decided that she wouldn't be suited to our music artist. 

So this morning my group prepared to interview our applicants and were ready for the interviews but only one of them actually answered our Skype call. When people did not reply when we tried to contact them via Skype we texted them but the majority of them did not reply. Chloe Carroll eventually texted back saying that she was busy and this was the same case for Yalisha Kashyap but the others did not respond to us. 

However, Cosmo Bailey-Kay was ready for the interview and we were able to interview him through a video call via Skype and he was very friendly. We found that he is from the United States and that he has previous modelling and acting experience which will be very useful for our music video. As a group, we also feel that his physical appearance will also suit the male character in our music video and we have decided to choose him to play this role in or music video. 

So overall, although today has not been especially successful we have managed to find someone to play the boy in our music video and we are also currently in the process of arranging another time to interview Chloe Carroll.
